STAMPINGS

Most of our stampings were created using molds from the late 1800s. When a tool and die mold is struck onto a sheet of brass the resulting design is called a stamping, a light weight and durable piece with high detail.

Stampings can easily be drilled using a power drill or hand operated drill and a small drill bit. Stampings can also be soldered, riveted or glued to a backing or a metal piece including a cuff bracelet.

Stampings have many uses, the most popular being components in jewelry design including stone wrapping, but they are also used in decoupage, scrapbooking, artisan collage work and as embellishments for a variety of other crafts. Some metal clay artisans use stampings to make molds for their jewelry designs.
