About Us
We have had an established commercial and residential interior finishes business since 1986. Our store at Ruby Plaza came about as a result of our passion for collecting and decorating a wide variety of spaces with beautiful and unusual goods and materials we have hand-picked over 35 years. We now have a vast inventory of articles dating from the 19th to the 21st centuries that we are eager to share with our customers, while we continue to seek out new items to keep our store fresh and exciting.

At An Old General Store you will find almost every kind of household and personal object imaginable, from vintage and new linens, glassware, antiques, clothing, books, jewelry, and furniture, and artwork, to interesting sundries, notions, and ephemera. We are based in sunny Southern California, but have lived in various parts of the country and abroad. Our collection includes one of-a-kind items we pick up in our travels from as far away as South America and Asia, to local crafts and memorabilia. Thank you for stopping by. In our Ruby Plaza store, you may return any item within 7 days of receipt. Refunds will be given in store credit rather than money returned unless damage was our fault. We appreciate your business. Thank you.
