This lovely little Victorian era covered dresser box, perhaps for snuff, is white porcelain with a band of hand painted roses around the side, topped by a band of gold above and below. Cover is brass or bronze, I believe brass, and features an ornate reticulated or pierced design in the center, encircled by a band of roses and leaves, and a rope twist edging.
