This whimsical pincushion figural was made in Japan circa 1940s-50s and is in the form of a jointed dinosaur, with colorful decoration referred to as calico. The opening at the top originally held a piece of fabric with stuffing to hold needles and pins. Nose to tail he measures 4 inches and is 3 inches high. Bottom is marked Made in Japan.
