Antique mid-19th century leather dress shoes, embroidered with cut steel beads in flowers, buds and leaves. Thousands of tiny 1mm beads are very neatly and evenly worked. There are a few broken threads had broken and some of the beads are missing (see photos), but overall about 99% are present. The shoes are constructed of dark brown kid leather with black patent leather trim at the toe and eyelet area, which, along with the tongue has a pretty scalloped edge.
