What a gem! This is a replica of an ancient Chinese bead made of sterling silver covered with vermeil. Brilliant blue, real kingfisher feathers are inset meticulously by hand. I have set the pendant with 22K gold vermeil fluted rounds and gold-filled plain rounds. The pendant is hung on a 20-inch gold-filled Venetian box chain which closes with a spring-ring clasp, and the total effect is magnificent. The focal bead is 25mm (1 inch) in diameter.
