I am so pleased to offer you a SET of beautiful Mother of Pearl shell buckles. These date to the early 1900's; likely Victorian or Edwardian era. These are in beautiful condition; gorgeous luster and the beveled edges give these a nice finish. Each measures .75" x .75". The luster of the Mother of Pearl in this buckle is totally alluring. I love the way this buckle feels in my hand...it is so smooth from time - almost calming to hold. It measure 2 3/16" long and 1 9/16" wide and is in very good condition. Unlike a lot of the MOP buckles I get, this one is thick and I don't see any evidence of seashell...only creamy mother of pearl. From the early 1900's, this oval shaped buckle is made from lustrous Mother of Pearl shell. You can see a variety of colors in this buckle: pinks, greens, yellow. Measuring 2 5/16" long and 1 3/4" wide, this early 1900's buckle is set with a brass rod and 2 tongues. There are gorgeous colors in the shell; I see a lot of pinks and greens. It is in good condition - there is an indentation in the shell right under one of the tongues that is smooth - so if it was originally a chip, it was long ago and has been worn smooth by time.
