This old hand-painted plate has a still life as its subject. The plate is trimmed with a sponged edging of gold. The still life of fruit, a jug and a glass is rather amateurish in style. There is an artist signature, T. Fokir, present in the lower right of the picture. The plate is unmarked but the base is pierced with two holes that allow the plate to be hung on the wall. This lovely hand painted coffee cup is painted with flowers, strawberries and a peach. The painting is signed "Kennedy" There is robin's egg blue trimming on the foot and handle of the mug. This three compartment serving tray has three fluted bowls each of which is decorated with fruit. The three compartments are joined at a handle that is a large peach with three leaves. The handpainted decoration is bright and appealing. There is a single tiny chip in the glaze on one of the bowls along the fluted rim. The base is marked Italy and 1378.
