In excellent to near mint condition, this Limoges Cobalt powder jar features a Fragonard courting scene. It has gold gilded accents along the rim of the jar and tdhe lid, as well as at the rim, and framing the Fragonard scene. The jar, probably ca 1950s, measures 5-3/4" in diameter and 2-7/8" tall. Beautifully molded embellishments trimmed in gold rim this stunning early 20th C. plate by early Limoges manufacturer, Jean Pouyat. A display of golden floral vines and what I believe are pink nasturiums are entwined in a hand painted floral dance. The plate has a diameter of 8-1/2". In the gorgeous Estrella pattern, this covered vegetable bowl bears the Noritake `M' mark used in 1933. The pattern comprises lovely rose swags on ivory, with an elaborate gold rim.
