This single early American pressed candle holder was produced by McKee around 1884 and is part of their Rock Crystal line. A fabulous pattern with scrolling decorations and flowers it is similar to their Puritan pattern. This piece is a Duo candle holder or candelabra which holds two taper candles, perfect for a dining table or buffet. It measures just over 5" tall and is it 6 5/8" long at the base. Over the years several pieces of glass from this company have passed through my hands with the same signature and the same impressed G mark on the pontil. Until recently I was not able to identify their origin but recently I found a piece that was also marked "Glasshouse" so I am a little closer now. This piece is a stunning and heavy cobalt blue and black swirled orb with a delicate purple orchid flower on the front. I'm pleased to offer you this semi translucent Depression Era light shade which was produced by MacBeth Evans, circa 1930, in their Petalware pattern. It is a milk glass color but the translucence adds a blue tint to the thinner parts of the glass, it looks simply fantastic when the light shines through. It is an inverted hat shape and has 3 small holes for hooks to hang it with. The shade measures 11 1/2" in diameter and about 4" tall.
