"Wish some one would love me...." with embossed hears, sun, and child among flowers valentine. Made in USA V-128. Postmarked Centerville, Feb, 1917 with the stamp removed. Someone has done a little pencil work on the front which I did not try to remove. minor corner wear. Cute as anything. First class mailing.

This valentine is so simple and sweet of an old fashioned girl holding a valentine and a ribbon of hearts. Her dress is embossed as are the hearts. The message says: Please accept this note of Mine and be my Dearest Valentine. It has not been used, although there is a penciled signature on the back. There is a little wear to the corners, but it is minor. First class postage is free in USA.

Here is a posted 1917 photograph postcard of former president, Woodrow Wilson. The photograph was done by Harris & Ewing and is copyrighted. It has a one cent cancelled stamp on a divided back. The date is October 31, 1917. The card shows corner and edge wear and there is a tear by the signature. Still a great find of a real photo of a former president. Included is this 1917 postcard of "The New National Anthem" called America, My Country by Jons Kl. Grondahl. "Men have enlisted because of it." ...
