Here are 2 pair of the cutest salt and pepper shakers. They are vintage, but in wonderful condition. They are figures of Eskimo children , dressed to stay warm and looking so sweet. Presented to you is a very nice ceramic deer called Cry Baby. It was made by Robert Simmons in Los Angeles in the 1940's-1950's. Cry Baby measure 5 ½" by 4". It is pictured on page 193 of the "California Potteries The Complete Book" by Mike Schneider, 1995. Simmons used silver name labels which came off, but he also ink stamped number on the bottom of his pieces and this has one of those numbers. The color and the detail are lovely and so typical of California pieces, so very collectible. ...

Here is a lovely Johnson Brothers Pareek Dinner Plate with a pretty Rose Medallion center. It has a yellow background , blue edge strip with gold leaf enhancement. The edge is slightly scalloped. A lovely vintage piece of earthen ware that can be matched, mixed or hung on a wall. Very good condition and marked on the back: Pareek, has a Crown emblem, Johnson Bros., and Made in England.

Presented is this pretty head vase that is also a wall pocket. It has an opening in the back of the hat that permits one to hand it if desired. Presented is a lovely hand painted Imari planter or pot. It measures about 6 1/2" tall and about 7 3/4" across the mouth of the pot. It has two lovely floral designs, both of which are repeated around the bowl of the pot three times. It is embellished with gold designs and lines. It is marked on the bottom, Gold Imari, an Imari mark and the word, handpainted. It is most likely an item from the last mid-century period. It is really in very nice condition. It looks like it has never been used.

Here is a very nice cup and saucer marked Germany 32. The cup has a lovely transfer picture of children in action. The saucer has a book with a cat inside and a parrot. Both have gold trim which is rubbed here and there, but mainly on the rim of the cup---not bad at all. Cup is 3" in diameter and 1 1/2" deep: the saucer is 5". Presented is a very nice old plate that has the flow blue edge and gold trim. It measures about 9 1/2" in diameter. The edge is scalloped and has a slightly raised design that is repeated 6 times. Here is a great stoneware piece that appears to be relatively scarce. It was designed by Helen Slater for the Poppytrail Artware Division of Metlox. Little figures like Colleen are from the 60's and 70's and are flower holders and planters. She is almost 7" tall and measures about 4" at the base. I have been collecting California pottery for a number of years, and of all the pieces I love and cherish, S-Quire figures are some of my favorites.
