Presented to you is a very nice ceramic deer called Cry Baby. It was made by Robert Simmons in Los Angeles in the 1940's-1950's. Cry Baby measure 5 ½" by 4". It is pictured on page 193 of the "California Potteries The Complete Book" by Mike Schneider, 1995. Simmons used silver name labels which came off, but he also ink stamped number on the bottom of his pieces and this has one of those numbers.
