Here is a nice set of opalescent moonstone hobnail glass made for only four years, 1942-1946, by Hocking Glass Company. You have a 6 1/2" crimped handled bowl and a "saucer" underplate which can be used separately or together. It is believed that this pattern was intended to be mostly occasional pieces like bowls, candlesticks, boxes and similar items and were bought to be used singularly as accent pieces.
