Bright colors of yellow, blue, deep mauve and green are utilized in this lovely Majolica vase that dates to the 1930's. On one side are two putti or cherubs holding a vase or container, with grapes and leaves above their heads, no doubt hoping to fill their vase. The other side has another cherub plucking a cluster of grapes. The background on each side is a deep navy blue, and the cherubs are highlighted in brown. Mint condition porcelain covered sugar bowl from Hutschenreuther of Germany in the Bellevue pattern, featuring a colorful floral design on white porcelain with a raised background. On the lid is a random floral pattern, a gold trimmed floral bud at the top and there is gold highlighting on the leaves as well as gold trim on the rim of the bowl and lid. Lovely hand painted pink chrysanthemums in a yellow vase grace these bowls marked Hand Painted Nippon with a green crown. Touches of orange, blue and pink are utilized in an additional traditional floral motif. Lovely magnolia blossoms are displayed on the sides of the creamer and sugar bowl from Queen Anne of England. A blossom is also displayed on the inside of the sugar bowl. Both pieces are rimmed in gold trim and are in very good condition. I note a tiny chip on the rim of the creamer where the gold trim is located--nearly invisible. Creamer is 3" high and 5" across at its longest point. Sugar bowl is 3" across the rim and 2 1/2" high.
