SOLDSOLD Vintage Compact with Limoges Courting Couple by Fragonard

This rectangular compact is made in goldtone metal. The top of the compact has a ceramic inset with an image of a courting couple, with the name "Fragonard" in the lower edge. It is marked Limoges in the lower right corner. The woman in the image wears a flowing pink skirt, with a bouquet of flowers in her lap. The man is dressed in blue, with a hat perched jauntily to one side, and a flowing cape. The compact measures 3 x 2 1/2 inches. It appears to have never been used.
