Miniature Painting on Porcelain Madame de Pompadour This delightful miniature is a painting of Madame du Pompadour, done in exquisite detail on porcelain. The colors are vivid and bright. The detailed frame is a goldtone metal, which appears to be brass. There is a small screw that holds the frame together. This lovely figurine stands about 12 inches tall. Her arms are outstretched, holding a scarf. Her left leg is raised, and she is standing on tiptoe on her right foot. Her gaze is downward, with her eyes closed. We are not certain of the material this figurine is made from. It is not metallic. The color is a rich mahogany, almost black. There is felt on the bottom.
