This is an exquisite hair receiver! I've never seen one like this. The lid is decorated with a 6 pointed star shaped by pink blooms, green garlands, and green foliage. The design is complemented on the base with similar pink blooms and green garlands. The edges of the lid are trimmed in gold as is the top edge of the base. Some of the gold has worn off. Blue vintage country dresser set

$46 USDBlue vintage country dresser set

Home Decor:Ceramics:Vanity
This is what looks like an old English country dresser set. It has two powder jars, a candle holder and a hair receiver. The candle holder has places where the paint has rubbed off from wear. The hair receiver is larger than the powder jars. The whole set just looks so English country. There is a hairline crack on the rim of the candleholder. The rest of the set has no chips or cracks. It just looks worn like old county pieces do. It is so charming because it is so informal.
Bavarian Pink Floral Hair Receiver circa 1871

Home Decor:Ceramics
This is a rather elegant looking hair receiver. It has pink florals with raised white ribbons on a pale blue and pale pink or mauve and ivory background with gold trim. The maker's marks contain the initials PM with Bavaria underneath. Home Decor:Ceramics
This is an exquisitely painted porcelain sake cup. The outside is painted with deep blue florals and foliage on a background of minute circular red stripes. Wedgwood Blue Calendar Plate 2000

$10 USDWedgwood Blue Calendar Plate 2000

Home Decor:Ceramics
This is a lovely blue calendar plate of the year 2000 by Wedgwood. It is approximately 9" in diameter and depicts a lovely English scene of a horseback rider, her companion, and a little dog by a lake in a bucolic setting. Moms love to get things that have the year of their childrens' births. If you know someone who has children born in the year 2000, this would be a perfect gift for them. Of course, because it is a year 2000, it is also a millennium plate.

$14 USDRoxbury Mass hair receiver

Home Decor:Ceramics
This is an adorable little pink hair receiver that measures about 2 &1/2" by 3". The only marks on the bottom say "Made in Germany" and on top someone painted "Roxbury Mass." I suppose that means the porcelain was made in Germany and the painting was done in Roxbury, Massachusetts. It sort of looks like a souvenir item. Since it's a hair receiver, it's an awfully old souvenir item! Hmm, I wonder what's in Roxbury, Mass. I've never been there. I wonder who brought it out here? Oh, sorry, I got ...

Four vintage moriage sake or tea cups

$24 USDFour vintage moriage sake or tea cups

Home Decor:Ceramics
These four vintage sake or tea cups are quite different from most others. The design feels like it is actually layered onto the china so that you can feel the design; I believe it is called moriage. Two of the cups (the green and blue ones) feel heavier than usual. They all have yellow interiors . The green one has a chip on its rim. The green one and yellow one (with similar birds) have some sort of a stamped design or perhaps maker's mark on their foot. If the other ones are stamped, I cannot ...
