While I've described the brooch in the heading as "charcoal smoke", this particular shade in the Juliana line from D & E was known as "Black Diamond" ... and looking at the photos, it's easy to see why that nomenclature. What a stunning brooch this is. The open-backed trapezoidal smokey stones measure about 1/2" wide; the marquise-shaped stones forming petals around the center lighter smokey stone are 1/2" long. Here's a delightful old set of vintage costume jewelry with a slightly ornate but lovely design. We are selling this one on consignment for Cynthia who has given us so many rare costume pieces to sell for her and this one's no exception.
