A lovely Stratton compact adorned with enameled roses and initialed DH. The compact is just under 3" in diameter and dates from the 1940s to 1950s. The puff is missing but the net insert is present. The only major issue is the top and bottom are scratched from use however the top is not nearly as noticeable as it appears in the photos. This lovely Stratton enameled compact from the 1940s to 1950s features pink flowers on a beige background with a burgundy and gold trim. The compact measures 3 5/16" in diameter. Condition is very good with no enamel loss. There are only the faintest of scratches. The puff is missing but the screen is present. The mirror and goldtone metal back are near pristine. This compact has an interesting mechanism. On the back there is a tiny lip that when pushed releases just the right amount of power through the inside slots and on to the puff. It works fine but it sure is a little on the messy side! The patent numbers date to the 1930s but this compact dates later to circa 50s.
