What a great find and such an unusual shape for a bird cage. My first impression was that it looked like the onion domes atop Russian Orthodox churches and Germany, mostly on catholic churches. There are other shaped cupolas: Orthodox helmet domes, the Ukraninian pear shaped domes and Baroque bud domes, but this shape reminds me particularly of the bulbous onion domes one might find across Eastern Europe, India, the Middle East and Asian.
