What a beautiful age old stoneware cabinet plate this is. The peaceful brown transfer color is soft and warm with young peasant girl leaning on fence rail, resting I am sure from her toiling in the garden. She holds a rake in one hand and is resting her chin on her other hand. The image is framed to one side of the plate and surrounded by daisies and other foliage.
