My parents used a pot like this when I was a kid, before Mr Coffee came along. Fill the perforated basket with coffee and the pot with water and set it on top of the stove and let it perk. It was a simpler time. The bottom is marked, ''Comet The popular aluminum. Made in USA''. This pot was used and coffee has stained the inside of the pot.
