Scots Emblem is a bone china cup and saucer made by Royal Standard of England. The purple color of the thistles is stronger than my pictures show. And I particularly like the thistle inside the cup. Royal Standard is the name used by Chapmans Longton Ltd., 1916-1969. It was later absorbed by Royal Doulton Group. The number 685 is written on the inside of the cup base.
