This Orange and black bird has a priceless expression on his face. He is definitely waiting for a snack to appear. The one dot of white in his eye directs your gaze. The white enamel background sets off the shades of his orange body. There is something cartoon-like about this figure and I would place the pin circa 1960-70s. The copper disk forms a slight rim around the white and has a safety catch on the back. The pin is unmarked and is 1 1/4" diameter and in very good condition.

This Crown Trifari brushed gold tone bow holds four sprays of simulated pearls. The bows arch up and around the lovely pearl clusters giving depth to this classic design. The pin / brooch is 2 1/4" and dates to the 1960s when Trifari had the Crown mark with the copyright symbol. The mark on this piece is quite clear. The pearls are in seemingly new condition. An overall lovely piece of costume jewelry.

Intricate Celtic designs of leaves and endless knots are prominent in the silver tone metal broach. Called a target shaped broach, there is a sword shape mounted with a dark green glass faux agate. The sword stands about the round shield or garter which contains three butterscotch and one black glass stones. The circular broach was traditionally used to secure the Scotsman's shoulder tartan. One of my favorite brooches, this Scottish pin has five glass agates deeply nestled within a 1 1/4" cross shape silver metal mounting. The "Miracle" brand called the metal OS for old silver and this one is highly detailed with two tiers of leaves and rope. It was fun to find this "Miracle" Highland Dirk on the original maker's card. The 2 1/2" OS [old silver] metal setting holds a long piece of simulated brown jasper. The smaller round stone mimics mocha agate with darker brown inclusions. The top stone is a faceted glass citrine. The Miracle brand is famous for the quality of it's simulated agates.
