Intricate Celtic designs of leaves and endless knots are prominent in the silver tone metal broach. Called a target shaped broach, there is a sword shape mounted with a dark green glass faux agate. The sword stands about the round shield or garter which contains three butterscotch and one black glass stones. The circular broach was traditionally used to secure the Scotsman's shoulder tartan. This 1 7/8 inch diameter by 2 3/4 inch long pin looks stunning on a blouse or jacket.

One of my favorite brooches, this Scottish pin has five glass agates deeply nestled within a 1 1/4" cross shape silver metal mounting. The "Miracle" brand called the metal OS for old silver and this one is highly detailed with two tiers of leaves and rope. It was fun to find this "Miracle" Highland Dirk on the original maker's card. The 2 1/2" OS [old silver] metal setting holds a long piece of simulated brown jasper. The smaller round stone mimics mocha agate with darker brown inclusions. The top stone is a faceted glass citrine. The Miracle brand is famous for the quality of it's simulated agates.
