I would date this lovely frame to the early 1900's possibly up to 1920. A little rustic with the tiles not fitting all the way to the corners but pretty and vibrant jut the same. Each corner of the hand made treasure is set with tiny flowers . Predominately blue and red this Italian collectible is beaming with age old charm. It measures 2-7/8'' x 2-1/4''. This is a wonderful little box to adorn your vanity. the perfect spot to hide a keepsake. The lid is hand painted with tiny for get me nots and accented with gold gilt. The hand painting stands out beautifully against the creamy white porcelain. The bottom is stamped Germany which would date it to pre 1921. It measures 3'' x 2'' and is 1-1/4'' deep. Good condition.
