These screw back earrings hail from the day when they used to facet natural amber. You don't see this technique used on today's jewelry. The facets cover the entire natural amber bead creating beautiful reflection. If screw backs are not your thing I am sure a good jeweler could transform them to pierced. I love vintage screw backs. Fabulous style, sexy sway and gentle sparkles illuminating from their many facets. There are no markings on the brass screw back findings. One faceted black glass stone is mounted to the post accenting the beautiful drops. Three wired glass beads form the vintage earrings. The largest bead measures 1/2'' in diameter. They have a drop of about 1''. No damage
