This beautiful Victorian dip pen is in the original worn velvet box. Circa 1880's. The pen has a mother of pearl handle. The gold tone retractable ferrule has not been tested but most likely gold filled. Sorry the nib is missing and a replaceable nib can be easily found.. Another item from a scrape book kept by Doris during her spinster years during WWII. Another scrape book was kept after she married in 1948. Wallace was the beau of Doris who was stationed in Washington D.C during WWII. Wallace sent this telegram on Dec 21 1942 PM4:51. The telegram reads."Unless Miracle Happens Won't Be Home for Xmas" Wallace. At that time this country was totally into WWII . Many items were found in the scrape book from Wallace but she married John in 1948.

Doris saved this Valentine card sent to her from Wallace who was stationed in Washington, D.C in 1943. Wallace was her beau at that time and Doris lived in Erie, Pa. The card is a little yellowed from age and being stored in a scrape book. There is a mark that appears to be a thumbprint on the lower right front corner. On the back is marked Hallmark and a copyright 1943 Hall Brothers Inc. Doris did date Wallace for a few years during WWII but married John in 1948 after the war.

These pretty pillow cases are from the 1940's. Hand made items were popular special gifts at that time. They are special anytime! Each case has a pretty daisy flower design and embroidered across the bottom edge. The flowers are of the satin stitch with French knots in the middle. The maker was very skilled. The edge has a scalloped crochet design. Each case measures 32 1/2 inches x 21 inches. The cases appear to be slightly yellowed but otherwise in fine condition at this time.

This cute rootbeer colored turtle was released by Avon in 1971. The original label is on the bottom and indicates the scent is Persian Woods. The bottle is almost full however the scent may have changed over the years. The turtle is 3 7/8 inches long,made with a rootbeer colored glass and has a goldtone head for the opening. the glass is embossed to form the turtle design. There is a small black mark on the goldtone metal. In good condition for the age.
