$15 USDVintage Peerless Mechanical Ice Cream Scoop

I read some old ads that indicated this old scoop was produced by the Peerless Machine and Tool Corporation of Brooklyn, N.Y.. Many uses were described in the ad such as: used for potatoes, fancy desserts,molding cheeses and scooping ice cream. These scoops were produced circa 1950. The handle is made of Bakelite and has ridges to give a tighter grip. The scoop measures 8 3/4 inches in length and the scoop diameter is 2 1/2 inches. Peerless is embossed on the thumb rest.
