A pretty dainty cuff marked Mexico and Alpaca. Alpaca is a alloy of copper, zinc and nickel. Alpaca does not tarnish as much as silver and frequently used in making less expensive pieces of jewelry in Mexico. The cuff measures 4 1/2 inches with a 1 5/8 inch gap. Abalone shell has been in-layed in the center plate that is 1 inch at the widest point and narrows down each side. A pretty scroll wire separates the two outer bands In good condition with no issues at this time.

I found this exact design and style of cuff when searching the makers mark on this cuff. The mark is TN-01 and this artisan must work in the Ballesteros shop in Taxco. This was the first person whose name ended in N to register his name. The cuff is in almost new condition but was purchased in the 1980's and worn very little. The cuff has a beautiful wave design.
