The pin is hallmarked .925 in the middle on the back. A circle surrounds the hallmark with the makers mark. Made in Taxco and TERE. There is a eagle mark 3 which indicates this was made between 1948-1980. The pendant has chipped inlay inside a Aztec type of design. The pin/pendant measures 1 inch in diameter and the five tear shaped dangles makes the total length 1 3/4 inches. A pretty scalloped design surrounds the edge. A very well made pin marked Mexico, .925. This type of mark was used before the Eagle mark which was started in the 1940's. In the late 1970's the Eagle mark was replaced with the Initial and number system. The grasshopper has been designed in a 3 D style. A big black stone is in layed to form it's eye.
