This is a wonderful example of a stoneware jug made in Westerwald, Germany. It is a light gray clay with cobalt blue designs over the piece including the handle. Unfortunately, it has previously been broken (before I bought it) and has been repaired. I have taken close up photos so that you may view the repaired cracks. They are not too noticeable but I have priced this to reflect it's condition. This is a small jug/pitcher & is considered to be more desirable because of it's size.
