As a Ruby Lane dealer we are offered the option of blocking a customer for non-payment, fraud or abuse. Although this policy can be advantageous it is not totally without fault, therefore, it is the policy of Melange-Art that we will try harder to be more understanding in our customer's needs and call for a better line of open communication before randomly blocking a shopper. We feel strongly, except for fraud, there should be no reason to block someone. We offer layaway options and special rewards for our repeat customers. We want you to shop in a friendly family style atmosphere. Your business is most appreciated. Call us at any time, and we promise to listen to your individual needs.


RETURNS: There are no returns on custom jewelry orders or items purchased and paid for on layaway.

RETURN SHIPPING REQUIREMENTS:

Fine Art, Crystal, Sculpture and other delicately packaged items must be repackaged with adequate professional shipping material to prevent breakage or damage in the return.

Insurance companies are not paying claims on items not packaged correctly and their adjuster will most certainly verify how a damaged item was packaged and boxed! We take our shipping seriously and ask that you do too. We have had only 1 damaged items in two years.

If you feel you can not ship an item back the same way you received it please take it to a professional shipper in order to guarantee your refund.

Sales Policy and Payment: Authenticity is Guaranteed



Established in 2006, Melange-Art wants you to feel safe shopping with us and know that our inventory, whether it be designer clothing, jewelry, accessories or collectibles, we stand behind each and every item we sell. We want you to feel confident when shopping with us that we guarantee 100% Authenticity or we will refund you 110% of your purchase price.



All items must be paid with 48-hours. Personal checks must be received within 7-days. We offer a variety of payment method: pay pal, google checkout, credit cards, money order, and Personal Check. (If you are sending a personal check you must wait for us to email you our complete mailing address). All items valued over $200 will require signature receipt. Insurance is required on all purchases unless specifically waived. We also combine shipping whenever possible.



International Shipping Policy:



We will gladly ship international on select items. Please note due to the size and weight of some merchandise not all items will be available for international shipping. Due to the recent USPS Rate Increase International Shipping Rates Have Gone Up, Please Do not assume the shipping price: Email Us. The Declared Value Will Be the sales price with NO EXCEPTIONS. We are NOT Responsible For UPS and USPS Custom Import and Brokerage Fees. This is THE ONLY Method that we ship Via International so Please Do NOT e-mail us asking to Declare the Item as a Gift. Thank you for your understanding in trying to make International Shipping as swift and honest as possible.




Clothing Apparel



Some apparel may have small imperfections, which will be prominently noted on the listing. We will not accept items to be returned as being damaged if the imperfection are of a normal nature. Articles that have light marks that will be removed with washing, or loose beading or threads that are easily repaired, are not considered damaged; therefore, if you receive an item of clothing that you wish to return please contact us immediately. Clothing must retain the original shop tag and should not be removed if you intend on returning the apparel within the return period. Clothing can be returned if not worn within a 3 day period. Returns must be received with 7 to 10 days of notice of intent to return otherwise their will be a 15 per-cent restocking fee for late returns. Please email us to obtain return authorization Return shipping fees are your obligation and not refundable. Buyer is responsible for inspecting the items within the appropriate time frame. All returns must be insured and professional packaged for a safe return shipping.

Standardized Measurement and Sizing Guides are provided for your convenience to assist you in taking your correct measurements. Clothing sizes vary according to designer and taking correct measurements are very important before ordering.



Clothing Condition



Our pre-owned / or gently worn garments are sold CLEANED or DRY-CLEANED for your convenience. Clothing that is marked NWT or NWOT are as received from the store and shipped as is. Clothing approved for a return must have the cleaning tag attached when sending back.

What is the difference between our two shops?



Melange-Art opened its doors with Ruby Lane in 2006. We have expanded our inventory to include contemporary and modern jewelry and collectibles because of customer's encouragement and interest in purchasing contemporary luxury goods and collectibles. Q. How Do I Assure a Proper Fit?



A. If you are uncertain as to your specific size or would like to take measurements, we offer an easy friendly GUIDE to assist you in determining your exact needs before ordering a garment. These two charts for sizing and measuring can be found by clicking on any clothing item and the charts will appear along with the photos of any garment list for sale. Measuring ahead will insure a proper fit and a happy transaction.



Q. Do You Combine Shipping?



A. Yes, we always combine shipping to save you money. For each additional item $1.50 us added if all items of similar weight. Otherwise, the heaviest item may well be able to include the smaller items with no cost.



Q. Are your Items Authentic?



A. Absolutely! We guarantee our designer luxury goods with a full Money Back if an item can be proven otherwise. We have a "No Tolerance" policy in our shop for replicas or reproduction.

Q. Do You Ship Internationally.



A. Yes, however, please contact us before ordering to determine shipping costs, or if there are any shipping limitations whether it be of a value or size. Our Custom Forms Specify exact costs of goods being shipped. Buyer is responsible for paying any and all fees once package is picked up from INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS. There are no returns on any items shipped Internationally.



Q. Will you mark my International purchases as "A Gift" for save on custom fees?



A. Important Notification to International Buyers: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyers responsibility. Please note that I cannot control the amount of time your package remains in International Customs Offices. Before ordering, please check with your country's Customs office to determine what if any additional costs will be due at customs. Requesting a dealer to providing false information on Custom forms is against the law. Accordingly, I do not mark merchandise values below the actual value, nor do I mark packages as gifts. US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior. Please refrain from asking me to lie on the Customs Forms, because I will not.



Q. Do you offer an "Installment or layaway" plan for your customers? What are the terms?



A. Yes, we most certainly do offer installment plans that can be applied to most of our inventory items. The TERMS are flexible and individually arranged according to each customer's personal desires and needs which is very important with today's economy. It is not uncommon for a designer purse or a lovely gold ring to be paid in 3 to 5 installments.
Questions are encouraged up front so that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. There are no refunds for purchases placed on layaway. Layaway payments must be made monthly according to original payment schedule. Layaways can be cancelled at any time without refund. Accounts reflecting a 60-day default can be cancelled at anytime by dealer.

Q. Do You Offer A Return Policy>



A. Yes, We offer a 3 day return policy on most smaller items if not as described. There is no a no return policy on Art, Fine Jewelry, Watches or any time purchased on layaway. We are a small gallery shop and can not except returns at will past the three days as many big department stores do. However, it is always our goal to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.



What Must Be Done? We ask that we be contacted within 72-hours concerning your wish to make a return and why? A full refund will be granted with no re-stocking fee once the item has been returned and is received back in the same condition that it was shipped. No refunds will be paid if item is shipped without contacting us first. When returning you must use the same carrier unless we agree otherwise. The item must be professionally packaged with proper wrappings, as when originally shipped. Returns must be fully insured. A total refund will be applied back to the account you used to make the purchase. If you paid via a personal check or other means of cash funds will be mailed to you. Refunds do not include any postage and insurance fees paid.
