This is a lovely hand painted ceramic sea shell. The shell is painted with lovely yellow roses. The trim is gold and the artist signed it. This pastime was very popular for women in the 20's-40's. The women would buy blanks, paint and sign them. They painted plates,saucers and cups to name a few. This shell measures about 8 inches wide.
