A handsome pottery lantern of large size from the Wardle Pottery, lushly glazed in a rich raspberry. The lantern is modelled as a dovecote with shingled dome roof, and the panelled walls are incised with diamond lattice to filter the light from the candle which would be held in the integral interior holder.
