About Us
Our Shop was started with antique dolls lovingly collected by my 'Mimi' and grandfather during the 1950's and 60's. Dolls and antiquarian books can be found in Mimi's Doll & Other Fine Things at Ruby Lane.

Collecting Gemstones both Semi and Precious Stones, jewelry and particularly rings has been a passion. In the past, wearing gold was affordable, but today it is certainly not affordable nor practical. Therefore; I began to search the market for Silver Semi- mounts. While silver is going up in price it is affordable and the semi-mounts that I have found that I really like, look like antique mounting and look heavy while remaining light on your finger. Some mounting are plated with precious metals such as platinum, gold or rhodium over silver.

Zircons are used in place of diamonds as accent stone. Zircons have been found in some of the most ancient archaeological sites. They have often been unfairly confused with the Cubic Zirconia, a cheap, synthetic diamond substitute. The fire, called dispersion in the Zircon is caused by light entering the gemstone and separating into a prism of rainbow colors. The Zircon possesses dispersion approaching that of diamonds.

I now have added Lab Created Diamond Semi-mounts to the collection. You will find them excellent choices for sparkle as I put quality gemstones in ready to wear Sterling Silver .925 mountings.
