Pretty shades of pink, blue, and very pale yellow were used for the hand painted flowers and background on the lids. The bases are painted a Robins egg blue.They have a neat hexagon shape. Although in a few of the pictures they appear to have a luster finish they don't. The powder box measures 4 1/4" wide by 2 1/2" high and the hair tidy measures the same.
