$22 USDVintage Singer Oiler - Embossed

This old oil can is made of heavy gauge tin and the base is embossed with the name EAGLE. The spout screws on and seems to fit well. This type of oiler often came with the early Singer sewing machines so that proper care could be maintained. It measures about 2 7/8" tall and the base is about 2" in diameter and is in fairly nice condition. There is a dent in the dome to the left of the Singer name and the metal has some discoloration. This colorful old oil tin once contained Whiz General Use Oil. It says it was good for sewing machines, typewriters, fishing tackle and bicycles to name a few things. Whiz was from the R. M. Hollingshead Corp. of New Jersey and Toronto. It still has its plastic screw on cap and spout. This empty tin measures about 5 1/8" high to the top of the spout, 2 1/4" wide and 1 1/8" deep. This old oil tin once contained Outers 445 Gun Oil for Firearms. On the front is a silhouette of a man with his bird dog on a point. On the back is a list of all the other uses of this Superior Lubricant. It was manufactured by Outers Laboratories, Inc. of Onalaska, Wisconsin. This is a colorful old Machine Oil tin from the J.R. Watkins Company with nice brown and yellow graphics of meshing gears. The back says this was a; household and machine oil of 101 uses. Made by the J.R. Watkins Co. this 4 ounce tin is empty. It measures about 2 7/8" wide by 1 1/4" deep. It measures about 2 3/8" high without the spout or 4" with.
