This old vertical pocket tin is a Velvet Pipe & Cigarette Tobacco tin. The colorful red tin has a picture of both a smoking pipe and lit cigarette on the front and the back tells of the quality of the tobacco. This was manufactured by the Liggett & Meyers Tobacco Co. of St. Louis. Across the lid there is a partial piece of tape or part of the tax label. It is in fairly nice condition with good gloss. This old piece of Union Leader Tobacco advertising is from the early 1900's. It's an old folding paper-like cup with its original envelope. A wonderful image of the actor Eddie Cantor is on all four sides and the inside of the lid of this old wooden cigar box. The Eddie Cantor cigars were manufactured by W.H.
