About Us
Hi, I am a 70 year old grandmother of 8 and have been a collector and an antique & collectibles dealer since 1985. I have owned several antique shops (an antique mall in Lompoc,California and one in Colorado) and have always been in an antique mall every where I have lived. It has been a lifetime passion of learning and enjoying the history of the antiques I have had in my possession. As a result I have collected a large library of reference books and a lot of knowledge (which I must admit has to be refreshed from time to time). I am particularly fascinated with the history of American glass making and Early American Pattern Glass is one of my favorite things to collect and sell. I also love antiques from the Victorian era, especially the buttons, lace, sewing implements and such. When I am selling I always try to give a history of the item from my memory or from my reference books and price things fairly and reasonably within the parameters of their value. However, I am always willing to seriously consider reasonable offers.
In the search of my antiques I also come across many interesting things both old and new for which I need a different outlet than Ruby Lane which is this wonderful place called "Ruby Plaza" where I can sell objects that do not fit in any of the Ruby Lane categories such as objects made more recently. Here I will be selling most of my antique and vintage buttons of which I have several thousand, less expensive pieces of my antique & vintage glass, postcards, paper ephemera, books of all kinds, vintage & new costume jewelry and anything interesting that I run across that I cannot put on Ruby Lane.
I hope you will visit my shop on Ruby Lane called "Melissa's Antiques, Fancy Goods & Such". There you will find a wonderful assortment of early american pattern glass, depression glass, art glass, lace & linens, antique & vintage dishes plus miscellaneous antiques and collectibles.
I welcome suggestions and comments from my customers. You can contact me at my email address or by telephone. And thank you so much for visiting my shop.
