This Park Lane brooch is also a pendant, with a large hook to pass a chain through. It's a striking piece with good looking faux pearls. The brooch is signed Park Lane in script. It's in very good condition with a bit of darkening at back; there's a fine dark line near the gold on one side of the larger cabochon and a bit of lustre loss not showing when worn. Frankly, this is an amazing copper Owl, dimensional and very detailed. For some reason it makes me think of Arcimboldo with its huge eyes and tiny mouth in the busy design. The copper has a nice patina which I did not touch. The open bar pin in good order. This unmarked vintage conversation piece is in very good condition and would definitely thrill an owl collector. From Quebec enamelists de Passillé-Sylvestre, a lovely 70s cold enamel brooch. This couple had a sometime playful style and their modernist designs have always been extremely popular. They now are researched by collectors. The brooch is marked de Passillé-Sylvestre Fait au Québec - Made in Canada. Measurements are 1 5/8 x 1 inch Condition is very good all over, no damage to enamel. Minor scuffs on gold border. On back the gold tone is clearer above the safety pin at middle.

There's also a small part of silver tone plating under the rhinestones. It's an elegant swirling piece; we can always count on Marcel Boucher as far as elegance is concerned. The Marboux line was in production until 1955.
