$50 USDVintage Michael Harris Mdina Glass of Malta Globe Vase

This is a blown glass vase made in a "globe" form by Mdina Glass of Malta. I believe that this form was designed by Michael Harris when he was still at Mdina (before establishing Isle of Wight Glass). The underside is hand polished, which I believe is indicative of an early piece of Mdina Glass. You can see a similar example of this vase, taken from the 1972 catalog, pictured in the book "circa Fifties Glass from Europe and America" by Leslie Pina - it is referred to as a "classic" vase.
