A wonderful and fun to wear laminated celluloid Orange and Yellow Flower Pin. Stamped on the back which is very hard to make out Pat Pend and the arrow symbols with a U in the middle such as ( -U- ). Measures about 3" by 2". In good vintage condition with bright paint and locking C clasp. Normal wear noted. Will not test for smell due to the lamination process.

What a cute novelty pin. This caved winged cat pin is Fakelite ( Simulated bakelite this plastic pin may be Ultem , garolite or resin impregnated with formaldehyde. Impregnated resin =( phenolic resin ) . This pin will produce a yellow stain when rubbed with either a bakelite testing pad and or using a Q-tip and Simichrome. Hot water produces a smell but not a true Bakelite smell. Nevertheless this unique awesome winged cat pin would make a wonderful gift for the cat lover.
