I could not find the date for this patent number, but I would guess it was issued in the 1970s. It is a musical Santa wreath and the original cost was $2.99. The back is mahogany and it measures 11 1/2" top to bottom of the pull x 7" wide. It is in very fine condition. The box is in fair to good condition with some soiling to one side and a corner, but it did its job of protecting the Santa and keeping it clean. That's the main part.
