$17 USDSpecially Printed Best Wishes From Teacher, May, 1914
Home Decor:Paper:Greeting Card:Teacher
Gee, I never received a lovely card like this from my teacher. The recipient must have thought it was pretty special to hold onto it all these years. This lovely card measures 9" x 6 3/4" and is in wonderful condition. The student's name is on the back. The greeting that was printed on the front, nestled among the forget-me-nots and pink roses, says: "With best wishes of your teacher, Anna Petzinger, May 1, 1914." This card was probably given to the student at 8th grade or high school graduation ...$15 USDMax Feinberg 1911 Post Card, "Best Wishes"
Home Decor:Paper:Postcards, Post Cards
This embossed postcard/post card is signed in the lower right corner "Copyright By Max Feinberg 1911" and was used and posted in 1913. There is a message in pencil on the reverse side, had a one-cent stamp, but some has been torn off. The scene is of a stout young boy walking with a lovely young girl, both dressed in red. She is carrying a bouquet of purple flowers and her dog is trying to keep up with its basket of purple flowers, as well. Darling scene. Aside from the message and address on ...$15 USD1950s Assortment of Oversized Baby's Birthday Cards, Guys and Gals
Home Decor:Paper:Baby Greeting Cards
This is strange, but I cannot find a manufacturer's name on these cards other than Guys and Gals. You can imagine that I wouldn't have much luck searching for the manufacturer with that name, so I didn't even try. The number 50B0197 is on the back of the card with the last digit changing by design on the card. The sticker on the box lid is from Neisner's Dime Store, which has been out of business around here for many, many years. At that time, the box of 10 was $2.50, but I got them on sale for ...$13 USDGerman Fold-Out Valentine of Couple, 1911, Teacher to Student
Home Decor:Paper:Valentine:Fold-out Valentine
I've always loved these fold-out Valentines, but they are often damaged. I find no damage on this card and it folds out and stands nicely. Even the honeycomb is like new. This young couple is standing before a huge basket of dark pink carnations or pinks and he is holding her Valentine. She is in a blue dress and looking demure, leaning on a wooden fence. When the card is open, it is 3-D with the background in blue flowers. Even her arm, their heads and his hat are still OK. The tabs appear to ...$15 USDPostcard "A Greeting For You" Early 1900s
Home Decor:Paper:Postcards, Post Cards
I would guess this is an old Max Feinberg postcard to be used as a Valentine, although it has "A Greeting For You". Taking the scene and the red seal on the envelope, I would think it appropriate as a Valentine...or, at least could be used as a love message to a very dear friend. Although this card is not marked as such, I have seen other cards with the identical scene in a different color and reversed where the girl is sitting on the left side with her dog and her friend is approaching from the ...| Items 1 - 5 of 5 | Page 1 of 1 |
