I've been buying and selling all types of things for many years - new and old! It has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy passing things along to someone else who can appreciate them as much as I do!

Below you will find a description of how I grade my pre-owned, modern to vintage jewelry - fine and costume. It is a guidelines table for you to make it easier to know what to expect when you receive your purchase(s) as far as condition.

OUR PRE-OWNED AND VINTAGE CONDITION JEWELRY DESCRIPTION GUIDELINES SECTION

MINT - Never worn and in brand new condition. Most vintage or pre-owned items are not in this condition and it's rare. However I have found pieces over the years that are still tagged and have never been worn that would be considered mint.

PRISTINE - These pieces have no wear or repairs. All stones are intact with no broken parts. No nicks or scratches on the item.

EXCELLENT - These pieces have slight to moderate wear but normally not seen unless using a loupe or under lighted magnification. The piece has no repairs, all stones are intact and no broken parts. Stones can show some very light wear and perhaps some tiny nicks.

FINE - There will be moderate wear, usually on the reverse will be noted or shown by photos in the listing. If needed some proper repairs or perhaps stone replacements could have been made. Some of the stones may be discolored and can show wear, scratches and tiny nicking. Some stones may be loose in the mounting. Still most wear will not be visible unless you use a loupe.

GOOD - These items have heavy wear overall, but you can still wear them with pride. No broken parts on the piece. Could have some chipping on the metal or stones that can be seen without using a loupe or lighted magnification. There also may be discolored and/or missing stones.

FAIR - This jewelry shows heavy wear and needs your TLC. Sometimes these will be more rare pieces that can be restored to very good condition if desired. They may have broken parts. All this will be noted in the listing.

POOR - These pieces are good for parts or stones but we do not ever post them here on Ruby Lane. I just wanted to add this descriptive title in case you were wondering what POOR condition would be considered.

Hi Linda! WOW! Talk about rapid delivery - the earrings arrived today. They are gorgeous! I plan on changing the settings to ear wires which will make them like the pair of Siam silver earrings I lost years ago. They were always a favorite of mine but being on wires (which easily slip out especially when sleeping) I kept losing them but now have a remedy for that problem. Thanks for the great service. Carol

Hi Linda. I got my watch today, and LOVE it! It just fits. When
I first put it on, it was a little snug, but there was a kink in
one of the links, and setting that right gave me just enough
room. It's actually good it's a good fit so it doesn't slide
around. I've wound it and it's running well. Can you tell I'm

The bracelet/earrings are beautiful!

The bracelet arrived so quickly I couldn't believe it! I was
actually going to put it aside for one of my 5 sisters as a
birthday or Christmas gift. I was more than pleasantly surprised
