This wonderful antique patch box is made of translucent white glass with beautiful blue opalescence and is brightly decorated with raised orange-colored enamel flowers on the top and delightful dots around the base. The lovely box is 2 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/8" high and in excellent condition. We have not tried to cleaned the metal, which looks like it may be copper, however believe it would polish up beautifully if desired.

There is no indication of where this cigarette case was made and it is interesting to speculate given the misspelling of Ottawa with an 'o' for the first 'a' and a conjoined 'n' and 'v' for the 'w'. A fun souvenir of Canada's capital city from c. 1930! The case is a lightweight plastic made in the color and with a grain to mimic ivory. Measuring just over 3" by 2 1/2" and approximately 1/2" deep, it would have held the small cigarettes of old. It is in excellent condition and an amusing keepsake!
