It is unused and in excellent condition.

The child on this early birthday greeting post card is very sweet with wonderful blond curls and rosy cheeks. The printed message on the front reads: "Birthday Greetings. May your Birthday hours be pleasant And filled with all things bright To weave around your future days A web of golden light." The reverse identifies it as 4690 Made in Austria. There is handwriting and scribbles on the back and the card is in excellent condition with some corner wear and a small crease at the top left.

The caption in French is "Je vous adore!" (I love you!). The publishers mark looks like CK&V. There is a handwritten message on the back however there is no stamp or postmark. This fascinating post card of a hardware, stoves and tinware store in Pense Saskatchewan with men and boys lined up out front, cars on the side, and a singly young girl, has a typed message on the front top that refers to a date of 1927 and reads: "Ed. H. located near here on harvesters' excursion 1927. Stayed until end of October." We did find one other identical post card on a government site that suggested a date of 1915 so the card may be somewhat earlier. It was published by Stedman Bros. ...
