This is an ornately carved hanging wooden match holder with lots of scroll work and curlicues. It measures 8.5" by 4.5" at the box, which is 2" deep. It's in lovely condition, no chips or damage, with a warm, soft patina to the wood. The picture of the Retriever puppy, who holds a feather in his mouth, has been applied at some point, there are a few traces of glue below the print, which has rippling to it, as you can see.
